Can I get a trial before I start using your services?

Sure. We offer a free trial to ensure that you are satisfied with our services. The trial gives us an opportunity to understand your requirements and gives you a chance to evaluate the quality of our work.

What is the turnaround time (TAT) for the transcriptions?

The turnaround time is 48 hours although in most cases the transcriptions are done within 24 hours.

Do you take up STAT work? Is there an extra charge for it?

Yes, we accept STAT work. Our STAT is 4 to 16 hours. However, you need to send us an email before uploading the urgent files. There is an additional charge for STAT work.

Do your medical transcriptionists sign confidentiality agreements?

Yes, it is mandatory for all of our transcriptionists and other staff to sign the non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements prior to getting employed with us.

What equipment do I need to get started?

All you need is a computer and an Internet connection. The computer should have Windows 98 or higher operating system with Internet Explorer 5.5 version and above. When using handheld recorders, broadband Internet connection is needed for faster uploading of dictations.

What are the various modes of dictation?

You can dictate using one of two ways:
i) Dictate over the phone
ii) Dictate on a digital handheld recorder

How do I send my dictations?

Dictations can be uploaded to our secure FTP server 24/7 using one of two ways:
i) By connecting your recorder to the computer and dragging and dropping the files to our server.
ii) By logging into your account and dragging and dropping the files to our server

How can I set up templates, formats & letterheads?

You can email us the templates, formats and letterheads. You can also fax them to our toll free fax number. You may also send us a few sample reports so we understand your requirements of a professionally transcribed report.

How can I access my dictated and transcribed files?

You can login into your account from any computer that is connected to the Internet and access your dictated and transcribed files from there. You can view, print, email, and fax your reports.

For how long can I access my dictated and transcribed files?

You can access your dictated files for a month from the day that you upload them. The transcribed files can be accessed for a year from the day that they are uploaded.

Describe your quality control procedures?

At MDCovered, transcribed files go through a two-tier quality check:
i) Tier-I quality check done by QA Level I MTs who have 5 years of actual work experience with various accounts and specialties.
ii) Tier-II quality check done by QA Level II MTs who have 7 years of actual work experience with various accounts and specialties.

A third level recheck is done by a senior QA

Our fee is normally based on per line, but we also offer quotes per page depending upon client requirements.

Payments can be made either by credit card, check, wire transfer, or using PayPal. Billing cycle is either bi-monthly or monthly.
